シンガポールにある日系のバイリンガル幼稚園。日本語と英語のイマージョン教育法で、愛情深く子どもたちの『やってみたいエネルギー』を育んでいます。シティーからほど近い場所ながら、広大な芝生の広場がある自然豊かな場所に位置し、また、雷雨の時でも安心して遊ぶことのできるエクササイズルームには、しっかりと走り回れるスペースがあり遊具や運動するための道具が備わっています。このブログでは、そんなきっずるー幼稚園の日常の保育の様子やイベント行事ごとを紹介していきます。

Tuesday - Science Experiment

Today we had a small experiment to find out "where does butter come from?"

What are we making today?

We used "thick cream" to replace the milk so that children can see the effect faster.

After pouring the cream into the jar, closed the lid tight.

Shake! Shake! Shake! every children just take turns to shake the bottle.....

until the mixture separate into buttermilk and butter!

Pour the mixture out onto a strainer

To finish, you need to rinse your butter under cold water. Knead it a little as you rinse. This will remove the last of the buttermilk. Now, the butter is ready to eat!
