We celebrated Deepavali, the festival of lights on 29 October. On the day, most of the children came dressing in the different types of Traditional Indian costumes. "Sari; Dhoti; Sherwani; Lehenga; Choli; Punjabi".
"Namaste", we started off with the respectful Hindu greeting. All the children had a "Bindi" on their forehead which symbolizes the "third eye" which will help to scare away evil and bring you good health and good luck.
The children dance to the song "Made in India"
The most enjoyable time, Our home-made Murukku from teachers and banana chips which is a special request by the children.
We are happy to hear that the "Murrukku" is yummy!
