Happy Deepavali!

Namaste! (A respectful greeting in Hindu  with a slight bow and hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to the chest.

On the day of celebration, children came in different traditional costume.
We start off the celebration with the story of Ramayana.

Next, the children get to taste the Indian snack - Spinach Muruku(Chakli); Banana chips and Sev(small pieces of crunchy noodles)

Glad to see all the children enjoyed the Traditional Indian snacks!

We also taught the children to say "Shukriya!" (Thank you in Hindi)

Children will so happy to have the "Henna drawing" on their hands. They choose the different design and teachers will help them to draw either on their hands or legs.
