Summer Programme - Forth Day

4th day - Cookery Lesson

Tomorrow we will be celebrating Singapore 51st Birthday. So the children will be making the cakes together for the celebration too.


Khine sensei helps to put on our apron and head band


We are being divided into 2 groups  - Angle fish and Bees
Jo sensei said that younger friends can learn from the big brothers and sisters and the elder kids must take care of the younger friends. 

Jo sensei will be doing gummies and Khine sensei will be making cake


These are the ingredients and equipment for making Gummy.



Can you taste and tell me what flavour is that?


First, mix the gelatin power and water together




 Pour the mixture (gelatin and water) into the hotpot to cook. Slowly add in the syrup and continue to stir.





Now, children help to spoon the "syrup" into the mold.

Wait till the "syrup" turn cool and transfer all the mold into the fridge.Now the Gummies are ready!





Cake Making

Mix the butter, sugar, egg together!


There are crescent(moon) and stars on Singapore Flag. so we cut our cakes into the shape of star and crescent.
