Deepavali (Diwali) Celebration

One of the most significant festivals in India is Diwali or the festival of lights. It's a five-day celebration with good food, fireworks, coloured sand, and unique candles and lamps.

Namaste🙏, May your Diwali be filled with joy and light.

Diwali is all about sharing.

The children dance to the song "Made in India" in their traditional Costumes.

We did Henna too. Teachers drew pictures onto the children's hands.

Our main highlight for the Diwali celebration this year is making "Roti Prata or Roti Canai", an Indian Flatbread.

Our uncle is an Indian, so he demonstrates how to make Roti Prata to the children.

The children enjoyed the Indian snacks - Muruku, Chickpeas Puffs and Fried Banana.

We have made a special request to the catering, and our lunch was Japanese curry rice on the day so that children can choose to dip the roti prata with curry sauce or sugar.
