シンガポールにある日系のバイリンガル幼稚園。日本語と英語のイマージョン教育法で、愛情深く子どもたちの『やってみたいエネルギー』を育んでいます。シティーからほど近い場所ながら、広大な芝生の広場がある自然豊かな場所に位置し、また、雷雨の時でも安心して遊ぶことのできるエクササイズルームには、しっかりと走り回れるスペースがあり遊具や運動するための道具が備わっています。このブログでは、そんなきっずるー幼稚園の日常の保育の様子やイベント行事ごとを紹介していきます。

Deepavali Celebration

We had a wonderful Deepavali celebration on last Monday. The children came to school in their fabulous tradition costumes or home clothes! We were so excited and could not wait to eat the Indian snack! What would the snack be this year?

The Legend

The children were told a legend of the Deepavali festival. Paper puppets were used to tell the story. The legend goes, the Demon King captured the Prince’s wife, Sita. The Prince and the Monkey King managed to get rid of the Demon King and saved Sita. The people used oil lamps to shine in the dark so that the Prince and his wife coud go home. That's is why this festival is also called the festival of lights.

The children were listening well! Wonderful!

The Culture

We talked about the food the Indians ate and the clothes they wore during Deepavali festival. Children, let's name the food together.

It's Snack Time!

We all enjoyed the Indian snacks, murukku and papadum. We gave the children some murukku first then papadum. Some of the children referred ｍurukku and asked for more. They were yummy!!

Wow! The papadum it's So BIG!!!

Drawing using Henna

We had so fun much, thus we were tired. I did the Henna drawing the next day. Henna is also one of the Indian cultures. People drew on others' hands or/and body during festivals. It symbolised good luck. After drawing, it needed to be dried before wiping it with a wet cloth or rinse with water.

<さつまいもとりんごのクレープ>

秋はおいしい食べ物がいっぱいだね～！

クッキングレッスンスタート！

「えいえいおー！！」

卵と牛乳とホットケーキミックスをボールにいれて

ゆっくりまぜていくよ～！！

じょうずだね～♪「おいしくな～れ！！」

さつまいもとりんごをプラスティックナイフで切ったよ！

チョッキン、チョッキン♪

「ちょっとあじみ。。。」

クレープにさつまいもとりんご、さらにクリームとはちみつも入れて

「いただきまーす！！」

クレープに包んで大きなお口で食べたり、

食材一つ一つ味を楽しんだりしながら、あっというまに完食～！

「おいしかったね♪♪」

クレープを焼くところを見たよ！

「うわぁ～！」「お～！」と言いながら興味津々な様子でした。

[K2] クッキングレッスン

みんなでハイポーズ！

さつまいもとりんごのパンケーキ作るよ☆

たまごと牛乳、ホットケーキミックスを入れて。。。

よーく混ぜていくよ！

秋の美味しい食べ物と言ったら“さつまいも”

さつまいもの皮むきをしてるよ♪

ナイフで切るの上手だね！

お家でも料理の手伝いしてるのかな？

「そろそろひっくりかえしてもいいんじゃない？」

　　おいしそうなにおいがしてきたね♪

トッピングにバナナとクリームとはちみつをのせたよ！

ハッピー♪「あまくておいしい～！！」

パクパク食べてあっという間に完食！

「おかわりある？」

デザートは別腹だね♪♪

[TD&N1] Halloween Party

The children had a great time with the Halloween activities. We could not wait to put on our favourite clothes on Halloween. The children were separated into two groups so that they have more time to play with the activities. Come and join the fun!

Snack Time!

Popcorn for snack! Hooray!

Roll the Pumpkin Game

The children had a joyful time rolling the pumpkins (oranges).

The children rolled the "Pumpkin" on the table and when it dropped into the tray, we cheered, "Yeah!" and clapped hands. Our laughter filled the room.

I got you! Lucky! The "pumpkins" did not drop. Whew.

Oops! "Pumpkin", don't drop!

The pumpkin is smiling at me! Scary!

Throw the Spider Game

We went to the common area to play this game. The children were thrilled to jumped and threw the paper ring or inflatable ring donuts into the umbrella hanging down from the ceiling. Some of the children threw some toy insects instead. One of the toddlers pushed the umbrella and was happy to look at it swing. He laughed heartily. We swung the umbrella to each other, having fun! Then I poured the ring out like it was raining! The children giggled and continued throwing the rings.

Shake the Spooky Out Game

We went into a spooky room and played this game. The teachers tied a ribbon around the children's waist with a box behind their back. We then filled the box with ping pong balls and they jumped and all the balls dropped onto the floor. The children were happy picking up ping pong balls, putting them back into the box and carry on jumping.

Woo hoo! Jump, jump, jump. We love it!

Where is my ball?!

Mystery Room!

There was a mystery room! What would be waiting for us there?!

Oh! Kei sensei was in that room!

We did some exercises with Kei sensei! We flew like an aeroplane and then a bird. We fluttered our "wings" fast while jumping up. The activity ended after we did a few more exercises.
